Martin Stolz
Family Law
Martin Stolz is a compassionate attorney committed to zealously helping others and protecting their legal interests. A Pennsylvania native, he graduated from the S.J. Quinney College of Law at the University of Utah and earned a bachelor’s degree from Columbia University. Prior to law school, Mr. Stolz worked as a journalist for numerous publications, including The New York Times. During and after law school, he worked at the Utah Attorney General’s office and at a large law firm. For eight years before joining Lewis Hansen Pleshe Flanders in 2020, Mr. Stolz operated a full-service firm to help people get through difficult times, by providing excellent legal services at rates that ordinary folks can afford.
His practice now focuses on all aspects of family law and criminal defense matters, often arising from or related to family law problems. Many of Mr. Stolz’s clients are native Spanish speakers, and he is a fluent in spoken and written Spanish. He devotes substantial time to providing volunteer legal services to the neediest members of our community.
Mr. Stolz served for three years as the Section Chair of the Small Firm Section of the Utah State Bar. He is frequently asked to make presentations on legal issues to the community and to lawyers. Mr. Stolz is a 2020-2021 alumnus of the Utah State Bar’s Leadership Academy. Mr. Stolz is one of few Utah attorneys to have experience litigating international child custody disputes under the Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction.
When not looking out for the legal interest of clients, Mr. Stolz enjoys hiking and skiing in the amazing mountains of Utah.
