Mr. Taylor is an AV rated attorney and partner at the law firm of Lewis Hansen, where he represents individuals, businesses, insurance carriers and their insureds against liability claims. Mr. Taylor began his civil litigation practice – first at Snow, Christensen & Martineau and then at a boutique civil litigation firm, with offices in Salt Lake City, Utah and Phoenix, Arizona, where he was a named partner.

Over the years, Mr. Taylor has developed an outstanding reputation in the area of insurance law within Utah’s legal community. He has been repeatedly voted by his peers throughout the state as one of Utah’s “Legal Elite” in the category of insurance law (as published in Utah Business Magazine). In addition, Mr. Taylor has been named by national Super Lawyers Corporate Counsel as one of the top insurance attorneys in Utah.

Mr. Taylor’s clients include several large national insurance companies. In addition, he represents product manufacturers, general contractors, as well as subcontractors in a variety of construction related cases with an emphasis on insurance coverage, construction defect defense, and defense of bodily injury claims.

Mr. Taylor’s philosophy for practicing law is based on cost effective problem solving while utilizing his experience as a negotiator, litigation strategist, and successful courtroom trial attorney to achieve the most desirable outcome for his clients.

Mr. Taylor is a member of the Utah State Bar, the Arizona State Bar, the Utah Federal District Court Bar, the United States 10th Cir. Court of Appeals Bar, the American Bar Association (ABA), and the Defense Research Institute (DRI). He earned his Bachelor of Science and Juris Doctor from the University of Utah where he graduated with honors. He was honored as a William H. Leary Scholar by the University of Utah College of law and completed a Judicial Externship with the Utah Court of Appeals, the Honorable Judith M. Billings.

Outside of his practice of law, Mr. Taylor enjoys spending time with his family and frequently competes in triathlon races throughout the state.
